We've stayed pretty busy, although the first week was taken up with Eli's Robot Camp (he made a solar powered dragonfly... so cool!). We've also had quite a lot of rain, which meant that several planned activities, including a trip into the Rockies had to be cancelled.

He was much less nervous than he has been in the previous two and played quite well.... For Mother's Day this year, I asked Dale to build me a nice raised garden bed to grow some veggies with the kids. While he ran out for supplies, the kids and I started to work. I started digging up the sod and put the kids on "worm saving patrol"

But before I get into that, I totally forgot to write about the Nile-o-meter. It was the day that we went to the Hanging Church and the first Mosque( our first day of touring). I'm not sure how I missed it, because I thought it was so cool. It was built over a thousand years ago as a way to calculate how much tax to charge the citizens of Cairo. Five seems like a big deal because she is no longer a baby, toddler or pre-schooler.... She's a full blown little girl (and she's got the highs and lows of a full blown drama-queen to prove it!). Before I know it, she'll be a teenager and then BAM! she'll be gone..... off to conquer the world....

I finished Eli's BTSS 2009, on the second day of school. It turned out great!! He loves it and it looks cute on him. I haven't washed it yet, but I'm not worried about that. I used almost all of the green I had and half of one skein of black. Sweater was knit top-down with a knit on kangaroo pocket and hood.
